With two strong candidates for the democratic candidacy and a tight race , the question dooms on what grounds will the democratic party eventually choose their candidate. Sure, Obama is all for change, but then again who isn't? Hillary is a woman, Barack is a black man, in either case an argument to be 'for' or 'against'. 

So the next question is, what is behind the outer appearances and slogans. What are the different topics and stances that may swing the vote one way or the other. It has been much argued that there are not too many real differences in views and preferred policies.

Buzztrend has gone out to analyse if there are real differences, by making and following topic profiles from different sources and comparing them. The results are ... fully confirming the thought that there is little between these two candidates.

The identical profiles and even shifts in profiles, would indicate there are truely no differences at the level of issues raised by the two contestants.

That brings up another question, what does Obama then mean by change? Change from the current policies, clearly, but if we are to believe our topic radar, Clinton stands for the same change and the same topics. The change would then maybe relate to how policies are implemented and who are implementing them. In any case, if staying truthful to the policiy issues themsleves, and properly implemented, the net results should be the same.

So if you are a democratic voter, it seems to be coming down to the basic question: do you want a black man or a white woman to be your next president.
