Jan Marijnissen, the popular leader of the SP (the 'new' Socialist Party, not to be confused with the traditional socialist party PvdA) is loosing visibility on the Web. After his massive win at the 2006 elections (from 9 to 25 seats in the parliament) his popularity seems to be declining (as many opinion polls suggest).
In the two months that we have been following the developments in Dutch politics, this decline seems to be confirmed by the visibility Marijnissen gets on the Web (a decline of more than one third since December 2007) as the following picture clearly shows:
His major contestant for votes in the socialist spectrum Wouter Bos (leader of the PvdA and minsiter of Finance/vice prime minister in the Dutch government) at the same time keeps his visibility in tact over the period: __________________________________ |
