Welcome to the new political buzz barometer on dutch politics. Buzztrend is happy to present the first buzz barometer on Dutch politics.

On a regular basis we will follow how leading politicians are discussed in blogs, fora and news sites. We will analyse their visibility and how they relate to specific topics such as immigration, education, taxes and so on.

In addition we monitor how the political parties are being seen in the eye of the public.

Although not likely to be near general elections, dutch political developments are interesting to follow. After recent events, especially the rising and murder on Pim Fortuyn, (see another article on some background to current Dutch politics) the landscape has become very volatile and unpredictable, and the traditional fous on political parties is being contested by individuals, leaders of certain schools of thought, often more extreme than the traditional parties.

The picture below gives an example of the types of trends and analyses we will provide. It shows that Rita Verdonk has by far the highest visbility on the web.
