Hillary seems to be catching up after the Texas and Ohio pirmaries. Obama seemed to be driving towards his candidacy, but as the final draws nearer, the race to become the democratic candidate is as close as it has been. With two strong candidates for the democratic candidacy and a tight race , the question dooms on what grounds will the democratic party eventually choose their candidate. Sure, Obama is all for change, but then again who isn't? Hillary is a woman, Barack is a black man, in either case an argument to be 'for' or 'against'.
So the next question is, what is behind the outer appearances and slogans. What are the different topics and stances that may swing the vote one way or the other. It has been much argued that there are not too many real differences in views and preferred policies. Buzztrend has gone out to analyse if there are real differences, by making and following topic profiles from different sources and comparing them. The results are ... fully confirming the thought that there is little between these two candidates.     |

Geert Wilders, right wing dutch politician and leader of the PVV (Freedom Party) is the most popular dutch politician on YouTube. Already more than four times the visibility of any other dutch politician, his popularity seems ever increasing over the past few months.
His long awaited and much debated but seen by no-one Islam movie could play a significant role in the high YouTube attention. |

Jan Marijnissen, the popular leader of the SP (the 'new' Socialist Party, not to be confused with the traditional socialist party PvdA) is loosing visibility on the Web. After his massive win at the 2006 elections (from 9 to 25 seats in the parliament) his popularity seems to be declining (as many opinion polls suggest). |
